Methylene Blue

So the subject of this substance popped up in one of my natural health e-newsletters specifically being touted for its rather powerful yet harmless electron donating, mitochondria enlivening all round anti bac & general panacea. Realising I’d heard it mentioned recently on mental health chat boards I did some reading about it in respect to that aspect & I was not disappointed.

So obviously as a lover of experimenting, I’m all in! Despite being essentially a pharmaceutical compound it’s old enough, simple enough & renown enough for me to consider working with for a while. Also, I really liked the balance of taking Saffron with its natural orange red pigment along side Methylene Blue with its blue jeans dye eccentricity. So we will see. It’s definitely use with caution, in tiny doses & if possible with the oversight of a naturopath or similar but here’s some links to some more serious studies.

I was particularly interested in the dementia & Alzheimer reversal research as many of my cognitive symptoms from damage from Bipolar episodes, 3 decades of untreated episodes is not funny & im keen to continue getting more functional brain back. Much I do contributes to this mission but I’m always keen to find more.

Major reasons to avoid MB would be SSRI use, renal or cardiac insufficiency- of course you must do your own homework if you have any serious health issues.
